SHIFT DESCRIPTIONS

Please note that the shift descriptions are listed to give you an idea of what the main responsibilities will be but please be prepared to perform tasks that might not specifically be defined in the below responsibilities.

Shift Leader: Is responsible for managing the entire kitchen during his shift. He may also assist in the cooking or other assigned tasks as required.

Chef: The person responsible for following the day’s recipe and cooking the meal in addition to any other tasks assigned by the Shift leader.

Helper: The first task for helpers on the breakfast shift is to MAKE THE COFFEE! Then start gathering and preparing the ingredients for the day’s meal so that everything is ready when the Chefs arrives at 8:30 am. You will then assist the Chefs as necessary. The responsibilities including serving from the buffet and ends with cleaning up after food service is over. It involves washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots & pans, etc. and leaving the kitchen in a clean and organized state for the next shift.
